In my opinion I have a found a connection between a article titled “Educator's Guide to Preventing and Solving Discipline Problems” by Mark Boynton and Christine Boynton , and the movie titled “Passion Project.” By Skye Ontiveros. When I watched the movie a key point stuck out to me, when the students were talking about having a more personal connection with a teacher or instructor so the class room or learning environment is a more comfortable place to learn and be your self not who everyone expects you to be and how they expect you to learn. In the article I found Educator's Guide to Preventing and Solving Discipline Problems” by Mark Boynton and Christine Boynton, it states “While building positive relationships is the foundation to a strong discipline system, relationships alone are not enough. It is also critical to clearly define parameters of expected behaviors, to monitor those behaviors, and to implement consequences when necessary.” In this quoet I feel as if the writer is stating that there is a strong connection between the student and the teacher if there is a eye to eye attitude agreement. When you are a positive teacher this encourages your students to be a positive learner and some one who is gaining not only knowledge but experience.
When I my self walk into a class room with a teacher and get a negative from them such as they don’t really want to be there they just want to be paid for their job and sent home, I automatically put up and defense of not trying as hard in the class to succeed as I would if the teacher was more welcoming and caring. A quote in the article, “Educator's Guide to Preventing and Solving Discipline Problems” by Mark Boynton and Christine Boynton
Reads “When students feel that you value and care for them as individuals, they are more willing to comply with your wishes.” this quote sums it up for the way I feel when I walk into every class room new or old as long as the teacher and provide the support of encouragement to see my way to success I know I will be able to not only pass the class but to gain knowledge and enjoy the learning process.
